Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge #13 Back to School

Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge #13 Back to School

For this card I used the Teddy Bear digital stamp I picked up FREE from The Paper Nest, along with some duct tape, scraps from my stash, chipboard letters and I printed the journaling using the Schoolhouse font that actually gave me the lined paper look. (sorry my photo is a bit blurry)

Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge 11 Tie A Ribbon

Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge 11 Tie A Ribbon

A basic layout of my daughter on one of her birthdays. (She just turned 30 on her birthday!) The addition of lace made it look/feel special and it made it so I could include it in Connie Can Crop's Monthly Challenge.

Conniecancrop Monthly Challenge #10

Conniecancrop Monthly Challenge #10
National Srapbook Day

For this Challenge I used the required sticker letters to make my title for a Christmas picture/letter page. (I do apologize for the quality of the picture. I took it before I left home for Denmark and then got here and realized how poor it was and I won't be home before the Challenge is over.)

Denmark

Denmark!!!!!!! I have finally arrived! Got here yesterday evening. :-) It was SO good to hug my daughter after 9 months! There are no words.
After getting a good night's rest I woke up feeling good and thinking I would be good to go today. WRONG! A few hours later I turned to mush and am counting the hours to bedtime. :-( It's okay. Daughter is finishing up some school work. tomorrow is a new day. :-) I am here. For now that is good enough.

My daughter is getting married THIS MONTH!

Boston

My heart and prayers go out to those directly affected by the events in Boston. Such horrific acts of violence shake all of us to our very cores. Once again our country has to fight not to allow this to cripple us. We can be thankful we don't live in a country where this is an every day occurrence, but that doesn't make it any easier for those involved. This is their currently reality. Loss of life, loss of limbs, loss of innocence...lives changed forever. Again. My faith sustains me during times like this. What sustains you?

Conniecancrop Monthly Challenge #9

The Challenge this month was to include a pun. Since my husband didn't get it I don't want to assume anyone else will....

so the card reads "Eyes been missing you!"

Shout Out!

A quick shout out here for any of my new friends joining me. I hope you will realize my site is under construction - ALWAYS. I don't know much about blogging but I am getting to this. Not all of you are on FB so this would be a good place to keep up with what is going on in my life-if you should care.

I also will be getting some of my pictures up here from trips I have been blessed to go on. I will post some scrapbook photos- mostly from challenges I participate in.

Oh and of all the beautiful children in my life. ;-) If you know me, you know they ARE my world.

Welcome to my Random Thoughts!

Connie's Monthly Challenge #8 Happy Birthday

For Connie's Monthly Challenge #8 Happy Birthday I used the required buttons and bling to make a birthday card. The Cupcake is stamped and then colored and Stickled.

The paper is from the All Dressed Up Stack by DCWV.

Inside I used a Happy Birthday sticker by American Crafts.

Happy Birthday Connie!

Unbelievable!

Unbelievable! Another month has come and gone. Literally! While it held enough woes it also blessed my socks off. My son-in-law shared his family for a whole month. He left my daughter and their two precious babies with me for three weeks and then he came back and spent a week with us.

Gramma had two of her grandbabies here to celebrate her birthday. As well as two of her three children.

But the biggest celebrating was my daughter, my oldest child, turning 30! Yes, I had her when I was VERY young. (JK!) How did I get to have children this old???? ;-)

For one day both she and her husband were 30 so we had a party for both of them. Bounce house included. Well, it was supposed to be for the little ones but some of those bigger kids jumped in as well.  Fun was had by all.

Next up is Easter then less than a month after that is my grandson's first birthday. I will head up north for a week for that.

Mother's Day will sneak in the day before I fly out to Denmark for the big wedding! It is coming fast! My baby will be a Mrs. in less than two months!

Happy Spring!

Happy Easter!

HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Don't Forget!

Happy March! Happy Spring! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Happy Birthday Me! Don't forget-at least here in CA-we jump ahead one hour this coming weekend. (3/10/13) Maybe my visiting grandchildren will sleep until 7:30 then, instead of this 6:30 stuff! ;-)

Sweet Hearts Challenge

Conniecancrop Monthly Challenge #7

Last minute me...last month I missed the Challenge...this month I am down to wire. Gave up my original idea and went for this quick and simple card. Covered my chip board hearts with Stickles, stamped Happy Birthday on white card stock, used two eyelets to attach to another paper, used pop ups to attach to paper from an 8 X 8 stack and there you have it. A birthday card for a heart loving friend!

Connie Can Crop: "Bee"Ing Happy

Check out this adorable scrap layout my friend Connie has done. It is adorable!

Connie Can Crop: "Bee"Ing Happy

For those of you that celebrate Valentine's Day, did you have a happy one? My hubby was out of town from Monday until 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. Our normal pizza and movie has yet to happen. But hey, he did make it home. At one point that was questionable. Delays almost resulted in a missed flight that would have delayed him until the next day.

Since he wasn't here my son and I took a special someone in our lives out for a burger. I tell people my son took an old lady (me) and a widow (Grandma Jane) to dinner on Valentine's Day. :-) My son really is awesome like that.

This month I also attended the Sweet 16 Birthday party of Miss Rachel. I stared caring for Miss Rachel when she was three years old and her baby brother was a new born. Time flies! But what an honor to be included in her event. She was beautiful in her light blue princess gown.

Now I anxiously await next Monday because two of my grandchildren, along with their parents, will be rolling into town. Daddy has to go back home but he will drop them and Mommy off and they will be here a month! Now I am not even going to pretend that, that isn't a LONG time but I haven't seen them since December and they haven't been here since October. SO, this is huge! ;-) Gramma can't wait. If only the other two could come at the same time....okay, maybe I am a bit zealous in those thoughts! LOL!

Now, if this fibro would just back off so I could actually get some of the things done that I need to, as well as get some sleep. Sigh....otherwise life is good, very good.
